The Jason Ray Story
Video published on YouTube by NJ Sharing Network on August 8, 2011.
Jason Kendall Ray was a 21-year-old senior at the University of North Carolina when his amazing life came to an abrupt end. He had been UNC’s Rameses mascot for three long and happy years. In March of 2007, Jason was attending one of the games and staying at a hotel in NJ. On March 23, Jason left his room to grab a quick bite and was accidentally struck by an SUV. Jason suffered severe head trauma and was pronounced dead only days later. Jason had indicated on his driver’s license his wish to be an organ and tissue donor. All told, nearly 50 lives have been saved by his generous nature. This remarkable story of Jason’s story is told in this wonderful piece by CBS highlighting his recipients, the Ray family and NJ Sharing Network.
